During the public beta, every account is on Pro, so none of the limits below apply to you today. This article describes how it works after the beta, so nothing here restricts a beta tester right now.
The limits by plan
- Trips created per year: Free 2, Basic 10, Pro and above unlimited.
- Overnights per trip: Free 4, every paid plan unlimited.
What "4 overnights" actually counts
The overnight cap counts only the nights between your origin and destination. Your starting point, your final destination, and any stop where you do not sleep are all free and never count against the number. So Free's "4" means four nights along the way, not four pins on the map. You can have plenty of pins and still be within the limit.
The count is trips created, not trips you have
The yearly number counts trips you have created, not trips you currently hold. Deleting a trip does not hand the slot back, so a deleted trip still counts for that year.
Upgrading unlocks earlier years
On the free plan, trips from earlier years become read-only once the year turns. Upgrading unlocks them again, retroactively, so those earlier trips become editable the moment you move to a paid plan.
What you will see
The web shows a counter reading "You've created N of M trips this year". When you reach the limit, an Upgrade for more link appears next to it.
